Driver's Schedule

 Here is our tentative Schedule for the day's events. All times are subject to change due to weather, delays or other unforeseen challenges.  Spectators refer to the schedule on the Attend page.  All those attending check in at the main terminal building (navigation link on the Location page) and you will be guided by staff from there.


Saturday September 21, 2019 (Rain date September 22, 2019)


07:00 – Gates open to racers, vendors and sponsors.


08:00 – Technical inspection in Paddock begins


08:45 – Autocross Drivers Meeting - ALL DRIVERS MUST ATTEND


09:00 – Autocross racing begins/Spectator gates open


12:30 – Lunch / Demonstration vehicles


13:00 – 1⁄2 Mile Challenge Drivers Meeting - ALL DRIVERS MUST ATTEND


13:30 – 1⁄2 Mile Challenge begins


16:30 – 1⁄2 Mile top 10 Shootout

Competition Rules & Registration

1/2 Mile Event

 Cost to enter is $150/vehicle.  This includes three runway passes.  Passenger ride-alongs are not available at this time.


Rules:

Street Driven Vehicles: 

Proof of current registration is required.

Minimum Safety Gear: Long pants, closed toe shoes, long sleeve shirt.  

Factory 3 point safety restraint at minimum.

Convertibles must have roll over protection.

Gloves and current Snell rated helmet are highly recommended. 

Track Only Racecars

Proof of eligibility for competition use.  Example:  Casc-Or, NHRA, CMP Challenge series etc.  Approval will be on a case by case basis. References may be required.

Minimum Safety Gear: As required by applicable sanctioning body.

Motorcycles

Proof of high performance experience.  Example: Accredited racing school, sanctioned race history, experienced lapping days, etc. Approval will be on a case by case basis. References may be required.

Minimum Safety Gear: Full leather racing suit. Full coverage gloves and boots. Current Snell M rated helmet.

General vehicle safety:

A vehicle technical self declaration will be provided and required to be completed prior to the event date. Failure to complete the checklist will result in inadmissibility. 

A qualified inspector will be present the day of the event, and will give final clearance for racing. Times for technical inspection will be communicated well in advance of the event.

Examples (but not limited to)of automatic disqualification and/or inadmissibility:

  • Fluids leaking from vehicle
  • Loose or unsecured bodywork
  • Badly or abnormally worn tires
  • Improper speed rated tires
  • Extreme alignment specs. Ex: stretched tires, excessive camber, heavily “stanced” vehicles.
  • Major body or frame corrosion and/or unrepaired damage

Vehicle safety will be taken extremely seriously. If there is any doubt with regards to the admissibility of the vehicle, the conservative choice will be made to not allow it for competition. Please contact the organizers if there is any doubt.

Salute to Speed organizers reserve the right to exclude any vehicle not fitting the spirit of the event. Examples (but not limited to) include: High horsepower drag-race specific vehicles that may reach dangerous speeds, jet powered vehicles, Etc.

High Speed Autocross (Time Attack) Event

 Cost to enter is $100.  This includes 4 timed runs through the course.   Passenger ride-alongs are not available at this time.


Rules:

CASC General Competition Rules (GCRs) and ASN AutoSlalom Regulations will apply. Marshalling, event format and classing may be modified to suit this unique venue. Detailed rules and regulations will be communicated with participants.Minimum Safety Gear: Current Snell SA rated helmet, closed toed shoes, Long pants, long sleeve shirt.

Register for High Speed Autocross Event
Injection Auto Club - Petawawa, ON

Classic & Tuner Car, Truck and Bike Show

 All vehicles are welcome to enter the car show.  Registration will take place the day of the event and will cost $5/vehicle.  The show is planned take place on one of the airport taxi-ways.  This is a competitive show and there will be seven classes in which to compete: classic, muscle, tuner, late model, off-road, bikes, and people's choice.


Registration will take place on the day of the event from 8am - 12pm with judging from 12pm - 3pm.  Winners will be announced at approximately 3:30pm.


This event is organized by local enthusiast group, "Injection Auto Club".
